CHAMPIONS!

Changing Lives FC have won the D3 league after losing only two games in the entire league season. Their winning of the league came by beating Dreams soccer Academy by 3 goals. It was such a beautiful scene full of tears of joy.

Coming from different walks of life to be a part of this great team, hopes from football pundits that they could win the league title was low. Due to confidence, self-belief and discipline, these young boys were able to change the narrative with the help of a very supportive coach, Lord Addo-yobo.

With the league trophy to be presented to them on the 27th of May 2023, the team is currently preparing for their playoff games to stand a chance of playing the Division 2 league. We can only wish these boys the best and hope they make the best of this opportunity given them to be a part of something great.

WE CAN AS ONE SUPPORTING CHANGING LIVES FC GHANA

We Can As One have been involved with Changing Lives FC Ghana from its inception, starting with an enthusiastic teacher wanting to coach sports to a couple of his gifted students, through to a Ghana FA registered team in Division 3. What an achievement in less than a year!

We have assisted them in their journey by providing them with kits, equipment, and transport to and from games, and put them into contact with a UK Community Services group who continue to provide advice and coaching to the team.

The league starts on Feb 26th 2023 and we can’t wait to see what these boys are capable of achieving.

Follow their progress here at our socials links on the homepage.

Good luck Changing Lives FC Ghana!!!

First League Match Results!

Finally, everything we have worked for over the past 9 months culminated in the day of our first Ghana FA Division 3 match, played on our home pitch which the boys had painstakingly prepared for a whole week before the game. The boys were nervous but confident and proud and, more than anything, excited.

We were slightly outplayed in the first half while the boys found their pace, and conceded a goal to our opposition. A rousing half time talk from the coach meant we cam back a lot stronger in the second half to dominate play and we scored a goal to end the game in a 1-1 draw.

A solid performance from all involved and a brilliant introduction into the ways of the league. We were even featured on the FA website!
